Security cameras and access control for Kansas City schools and businesses

Security that is practical, not theatrical

One Day Systems is a technology consulting firm serving the Kansas City metro that evaluates, designs, integrates and deploys security cameras and access control for schools and businesses.

The problem

Doors, cameras, and the hardening everyone agreed to “when there’s time” sit on the same list as everything else. The risk is not a poster. It is the path nobody has walked end to end.

How we work

Evaluate

Who gets in, what is recorded, and which accounts can reach too much. Practical exposure, not a theatrical audit.

Design

Controls people will follow. Access, cameras, and identity described in language the building can live with.

Integrate

Doors, video, and accounts tied to the network and the directory you already run.

Deploy

A sequence that tightens the real gaps without shutting the operation down to prove a point.

Typical outcomes

  • Access you can explain.
  • Cameras you can use when it matters.
  • Hardening that matches how the place actually works.

Questions

Can you integrate existing cameras and access control?

Yes. We start with what is already installed, keep what is sound, and connect cameras, access control, and the network. A rip-and-replace is not the default.

Which brands do you install?

We select against the design. We are not locked to one manufacturer.

Do you serve both Kansas and Missouri?

Yes. One Day Systems serves the Kansas City metro on both sides of the state line.

Are you a managed IT provider or project-based?

Project-based: evaluate, design, integrate, deploy. We are not a ticket-queue MSP.

How fast can you start?

Often within days of scope agreement. Multi-site school work follows your calendar, including summers and breaks when that is what the buildings need.

What happens after deployment?

Documentation, credentials in your name, training for the people who use it, and a clear handoff.

Who owns what you build?

You can use what we build for your organization for as long as you like. We keep ownership of the underlying designs and tools, so we can keep improving them and reuse them on future projects. You can't resell or hand it off to another company without asking us first. It's all spelled out in our agreement before we start. No surprises.

Do we have to replace everything?

Almost never. We document what you have, keep what still fits, and plan updates ahead of failure, so you only replace what you need, when you need it.
